Moving Pt. 2

We were not going to ask for help to move…crazy huh?  Like standing on dynamite?

Some of our problems we create by simply not asking for help.

And I can say for me, there was some pride in not asking for help to move.  I don’t normally ask for help, because receiving help can sometimes make me feel weak, not enough, that I should pay for the help, or that no one really wants to do this/that, I mean would I?

Embarrassing…l’eggo my eggo

Confession time, I had an attitude in class on Monday, and not the good kind.  Acting class is an environment for creativity, openness, play, supporting one another in storytelling and vulnerability.

I like to do, what I want to do, when I want to do it.  Two of my peers were performing, after their first take of doing the scene.  I couldn’t hear them too well, and decided, I have this time,  I’ll journal, I’ve been wanting to do that for a while.  Off to journal town I go.

Moving…

The past couple of weeks have been crazy good for several different reasons.  We moved to a new (to us) part of LA.  I’ve lived in North Hollywood (NoHo) for the past 5 years.  So this new area – means new commutes to everywhere, architecture, vibe of people, grocery, vet, change in landscape too, and lots of hills.  Moving to a different area of Los Angeles is like moving to a new city.

Moving has been cleansing, therapeutic, humbling, and tiring! Lol!

Cleansing

We got rid of a lot of stuff, and we’re still giving and throwing things away.  Why did I hold onto things that are no longer being used?

Holly Shorts

Something exciting happened 2 weeks ago, that I wasn’t even expecting.  A short film, “Murphy’s Law,” I worked on, as well as, a webisode series, “The Process,” were screened at the Holly Shorts festival!  Two films at one festival!  Excited!

And to top it off this past Saturday, we went to a screening for another short film, “Raspberry Cream,” that I worked on last October.
